True Southern weather in the Summer is always something that keeps guests and photographers on the edge of their seats and this Cacapon State Park Wedding was no exception. As Brittany was slipping into her gorgeous wedding gown, the sunshine was abundant and the heat was melting. However, Brittany was radiant and didn't let it bother her a bit. However my Northern body was not having it and made me look like I was already taking a dip in the lake.
Just before Brittany was set to walk down the aisle to merry her best friend, the clouds rolled in and the thunder sounded all around us. I think you could hear the collective breath of everyone, praying the rain would hold off. And sometimes...things are just meant to be. All of the rain held off until after Anthony and Brittany said their "I Do's" and had their first official kiss as a married couple.
As we made it into the reception area the rain let loose, completely messing with our photography timeline. Despite the on-and-off again rain, our newly weds handled the interruptions like champs and remained flexible throughout the entire evening, allowing us to get some amazing portraits in various locations all around the park. It just reinforces the saying that "together is the best place to be".
Anthony and Brittany, thank you so much for choosing us to be such and important part of your wedding day. We enjoyed all of the time we spent with you and your sweet guests. We hope you love reliving every moment of your gorgeous day!
